Gippsland Business Awards

Gippsland Business Awards has long been a respected name in their community and we felt the website needed a visually-appealing upgrade from their outdated style to reflect that level of professionalism and quality. Our team worked together to create a modern, fresh visual design with the website’s new layout to establish credibility and trust with their site visitors. We also reworked their brand colours and identity to tie in seamlessly with brand new custom-built functionality, creating an overall contemporary feel to the end result.

We wanted to create a successful onboarding process within the nomination form that would be super easy to use. We wanted users to feel confident about handing over personal information and that the nomination process would be as simple as possible for the business awards nominees.

We connected this website to the Australian Business Register API. This is because, the key areas of importance we considered in our design process were the user authentication (validating they were real people with real businesses!) and effective user-experience interactivity. We needed the interface to be both visually appealing as well as highly secure and protected against spam-bots. We also needed to create an easy to use admin dashboard to manage the entire process from the backend.

Upgrading the former websites data was our primary challenge. Gathering all of the previous year’s records and integrating them into the new and improved format was our client’s main objective. We made sure the data was now easy to access and could be viewed by category of winners, runner-ups and finalists.

We worked on enhancing the user experience with an easy-to-use interface for both administrators and site visitors. Administrators can now easily add, edit and delete data. Visitors can now view data by category or search by keyword.
